History of Shoreham Airport

Shoreham Airport was officially opened in June 1911. The first flying school opened in 1913 and during World War I. The aerodrome was used by the Royal Flying Corps.

The iconic Art Deco style building was opened on 13 June 1936 and was designed by Stavers Hessell Tiltman. It is still in use today and is a Grade II listed building. Shoreham Airport is well worth a visit see flybrighton.com for further visitor information.
